Pine City Backcountry Board

To get to the Pine City Backcountry Board from the North Entrance on Utah Trail

in Twentynine Palms, head south on Park Route #12 for 4.6 miles, and bear right at Pinto Wye. Continue on for 1.4 miles, until you see Geology Tour Road on your left. Turn right on to the dirt road opposite Geology Tour Road, and continue north 1.2 miles to the parking area.
If you are coming from the West Entrance in Joshua Tree, head east on Park Route #12 for 19.2 miles, until you see Geology Tour Road on your right. Turn left onto the dirt road opposite Geology Tour Road, and continue on for 1.2 miles to the parking area.

The parking area is the starting point for the following hikes:

Desert Queen Mine - 1.2 miles (easy) - [DAY]
Eagle Cliff Mine - 4.5 miles - (moderate/difficult) [DAY]
Lucky Boy Vista - 2.5 miles - (easy) [OVERNIGHT]
Negro Hill - 1.5 miles - (moderate) [DAY]
Pine City - 3 miles - (easy) [DAY/OVERNIGHT]
