South Park Peak

South Park Peak: Mileage: .8 miles; Time: 1 hour; Difficulty: Moderate; Elevation Extremes: 4140' to 4395'; Starting & Ending: South Park Parking Area (4140')

This trail is actually outside the park and is located on 40 acres of land obtained from the BLM. It is maintained by the Town of Yucca Valley, and the trail was recently refurbished by Eagle Scout Peter Wilkins.
An easy climb winds past several benches along the trail where you can stop, rest, and take in the views.

Once you get to the summit, be sure to fill out the hiking register!
There is a bench here where you can sit and have lunch, or just relax and watch one of our beautiful desert sunsets.
